Probing Fault Features of Lithium-Ion Battery Modules under Mechanical Deformation Loading

Electric vehicle battery systems are easily deformed following bottom or side pillar collisions. There is a knowledge gap regarding the fault features of minor mechanical deformation without ISC, which can be used for early warning deformation. In this study, lithium-ion module under different degrees were studied from perspective voltage consistency. The results show that capacity declines with an increase in indentation depth, consistent degradation indented cell. During charging and discharging processes, cell deviates to lower value compared other normal cells. At end process, sharply exhibits significant deviation Mean Normalization (MN) method employed quantitatively describe indicate MN cell’s distributed at lowest during period below −0.06 discharging. future, detection abuse will established based on these features.
